What type of music does MORPHOSIS play? Melodic, jazzy, classical, rocky, experimental, whatever: well, just listen to several MP3-tracks, included on this website, see the Menu MEDIA. These MP3-files are songs from their first CD "SECRETS OF THE COSMOS", published in summer 2002, as well as from their second CD "TIMES", published in 2006.

The first CD is a concept about possible intelligent life outside in the universe, about all kinds of problems on earth and the possibility that these intelligent aliens are willing to assist earth in order to solve all problems. A wishful idea, but let's try to see it from the bright sight. And that's why that, as everything, including man and earth, is a part of the universe, MORPHOSIS called this project "SECRETS OF THE COSMOS".
The second CD is not a real concept, but has some connection with the meaning 'time'. Some lyrics are a bitmetaphysical, other lyrics are realistic. You can talk about time nowadays, but also about time in history, time in a seasonlike way, time in religion, time as as part of realism, just name it, but that's what this second CD has been based on, with the title "TIMES".
Both CDs have now been digitalized/remastered and officially released by The Magenta Label and marketed by Creative Inc. They are available at Amazon, iTunes and other famous music selling sites. However, the tracks "Perivallon" and "Maestro/Maitreya" have been included on the "TIMES" CD, as the band decided that these two tracks did not fit exactly to the other music on this CD. These two tracks have - however - been released through solo projects by band member Peter Swart.
MORPHOSIS will be doing a new and third CD, the title will be "A MISMATCH IN THE WORLD", and will be dealing with society in these days, just think of a heavy financial crisis and all turmoil, just think of mentality problems (religion, discrimination, culture), just think how we all, as human beings, stand in time, well, pure realism with just sometimes a slightly philosophical view. Again music commenting and criticizing society? Well, just imagine this is necessary, one can never stop trying to improve society, even when it's a drop in the ocean, many positive drops may be influential..... And...surprise: one of the new tracks of this forthcoming album, already finished, can now be listened to. Go to Media in the Menu and click "The Experiment". Enjoy!
